South African Children’s Court forms include Form 60 (Application for Adoption), Form 61 (Consent by Parent), Form 62 (Consent by Child) and Form 64 (Withdrawal of Consent). Where these appear in another language, or need to be read abroad, each form is translated with its number and structure preserved.

A Children’s Court finalises an adoption and issues an adoption order. Government guidance notes that after the process the court report is also sent to the Department of Social Development for recording and procedural review.
An adoption-order translation may be needed for citizenship, immigration, passport applications, recognition of parentage, foreign civil registration, school or administrative matters, and overseas court or government processes.

Government guidance for inter-country family adoption describes records moving between South African and foreign authorities, including home study reports, child study reports, consent documentation, assessments, Children’s Court records and adoption orders.
A cross-border adoption file can involve several jurisdictions and therefore several languages. Confirm the translation requirements with the adoption organisation, the Children’s Court, the Central Authority, the embassy or consulate, and the foreign authority, and we will prepare the translations to match.

South African adoption documents used overseas.
A South African adoption file may need translation for recognition of the adoption abroad, immigration or residence, citizenship, passport applications, civil registration, and family-law proceedings.
Translation and Apostille or legalisation are separate processes. Where the foreign authority requires the documents to be authenticated as well as translated, that authentication is handled separately, and the destination authority sets the order of steps. Confirm its requirements before submitting.

Adoptive parents submit a certified copy of the adoption order to Home Affairs, which then records the adoption in the child’s birth register when requested.
