About the Farsi language.
Farsi (Persian) is the official language of Iran. Closely related varieties are spoken as Dari in Afghanistan and as Tajik in Tajikistan. Iranian Farsi and Dari are written right to left in a Perso-Arabic script. Tajik is written in Cyrillic.
Iranian documents use the Solar Hijri calendar. Dates are translated faithfully, and we can add the Gregorian equivalent where the receiving authority needs it. Farsi text runs right to left, so forms, tables and designed documents need to be rebuilt. Our desktop publishing team handles right-to-left typesetting. For documents from Afghanistan, tell us so we match the vocabulary and usage.
Farsi to English is usually personal, civil, academic and immigration documents. English to Farsi is usually business, community and public information content.
Common Farsi documents include birth certificates, marriage certificates, degree certificates and academic transcripts. A certified translation is available for these. If an authority asks for a sworn translation, ask us to confirm availability for the language pair.
