About the Romansh language.
Romansh (Rumantsch) is Switzerland's fourth national language, spoken mainly in the canton of Graubünden, including the Engadine valley. It is used officially by the federal government with Romansh speakers. It is a Romance language, descended from the Latin of the Alps, and is written in the Latin alphabet.
Romansh has five regional written forms, called idioms, such as Sursilvan and Vallader, and a common standard, Rumantsch Grischun, used by the canton and the federal government. Tell us which form your readers use and we will follow it.
