About the Dzongkha language.
Dzongkha is the national language of Bhutan. It is a Tibetic language, related to Tibetan, and is written in the Tibetan script. Bhutan also uses English widely in government, education and business.
Dzongkha and Tibetan share a script and much of their written heritage, but they are different languages with different vocabulary and spelling. A Bhutanese document needs a Dzongkha translator; Tibetan has its own page.
We translate in both directions. Dzongkha to English work is usually civil documents, academic records and official correspondence. English to Dzongkha work is usually public information, tourism and business content.
Many Bhutanese official documents are issued in English as well as Dzongkha; we translate only the parts you need. Bhutanese names are transliterated in more than one way, so we keep them consistent with the passport or other documents you supply. A certified translation is available for these. If an authority asks for a sworn translation, ask us to confirm availability for the language pair.
