Formatting and layout services for print and digital materials translated into any language.

Desktop Publishing & Typesetting
The brief

When translated text is longer (or shorter) than the source, layouts break. Our DTP team rebuilds your translated document inside your original design: InDesign, Illustrator, Word, PowerPoint, or PDF, handling right-to-left scripts, non-Latin typography, font substitution, and pagination. You receive a print-ready file in the same format you sent, ready to go to press or upload.

Why translated layouts break

Translated text is rarely the same length as the source. A brochure translated from English can run noticeably longer or shorter, which breaks line breaks, pagination and page balance. Desktop publishing rebuilds the translated document inside your original design so it looks as intended.

InDesign, Illustrator, Word and PowerPoint

We work in:

  • Adobe InDesign (IDML and INDD)
  • Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Microsoft Word and PowerPoint

We can also rebuild PDFs from source.

Right-to-left and non-Latin typesetting

We handle right-to-left scripts such as Arabic and Hebrew, and non-Latin typography including Chinese, Japanese and Korean, Indic scripts and Thai. That includes font substitution where the original font does not support the target script. See Arabic translation and English to Arabic translation.

Print-ready delivery

You receive a print-ready file in the same format you sent, ready to go to press or upload. DTP is often combined with document translation in one project.
