Editing & Proofreading
Different projects need different levels of review.
Depending on the service selected, a project may include translation only, translation with an independent second-linguist edit, or a more extensive proofreading and review process.
- Second-linguist edit: after translation, an independent second linguist edits the work.
- Proofreading and review: a more extensive proofreading and review process before delivery.
Stated in your quotation.
The quotation identifies the quality or review level included in your project. A second-linguist edit or full proofreading stage is not automatically included unless it is stated in the quotation.
Checked before delivery
Before delivery, the completed work is checked for consistency, completeness and formatting. Where certification, signatures or seals are required, these are prepared according to the agreed service. See sworn translation and certified translation.
Translations, business and academic copy.
Our proofreaders review translated or original copy for accuracy, grammar, punctuation, terminology and consistency.
Wherever possible, we assign work to linguists with relevant subject knowledge and experience, whether the content is legal, medical, technical, commercial or intended for the general public. For translation itself, see document translation.
